While it is a relatively famous name within the community of Bourke, there are very few records of the Two Waterholes hotel and its operation, indeed it may have been little more than a wine shanty and a horse changing location.
The name itself links it to the great tradition of Hotel sites being linked to watering holes on travelling routes, with the daughters of one travellers host warranting more description than the accommodation.
