Featuring two large rooms which are linked by a large U-shaped bar, the Empire maintains a busy and spacious bar area with a large, comfortable, and extremely popular dining room which includes tables for families, large groups, and snug booths. The meals are the best in Cobar (the locals say you have to try the Diane sauce) and many travellers and locals make a beeline for the Empire at mealtimes.
The pub also features a large function room attached to the kitchen, and an almost tropical outdoor area where an additional bar can be set up for functions. There’s a drive-in bottle-shop attached to the hotel if you want to grab a drink for later on, and welcome distractions like keno and a pool table in the main bar.
