Eremerang is known to be a major pastoral station in the region. It is likely that a store-cum-pub was operating within the vicinity as one of the staging post hotels or shanties.

Eremerang was also mentioned as part of the Nangerybone Wolfram explorations. Nangerybone is another of the ‘station pubs’ that sprang up for a time, further to the east of Eremerang. It also probably had a brief iteration as a roadside inn to support the investigation and exploration of Wolfram (Tungsten) at Nangerybone which occurred around 1917.
“Mr L. J. Jones (Assistant Geological Surveyor) was sent to examine and report upon an occurrence of the metal discovered about 2 miles west of the Nangerybone homestead, and about 28 miles South-East of Nymagee, and 11 miles North-West of the Eremerang range.”
