Pub Stops

FacebookTweetLinkedInEmail

The Pub Route invites travellers to stop and explore some truly iconic pubs, where ‘The Pub’ is more than just a place to have a beer – it’s the heartbeat of the town and a welcoming spot for locals and travellers alike to connect.

The pubs of Western NSW are some of the most critical infrastructure in the remote region, and also some of the most interesting places. Heavy with stories, loaded with history and filled with characters old and new, the pubs really are the lifeblood of the small communities, and therefore the region.

Often serving as petrol station, post office and general store, the pubs are the very best places to stop and take the pulse of the area, from road conditions to ‘what’s on’ and in the bush, you’re bound to meet a few friendly locals along the way.

Whether it’s a new-ish building or a historic old hotel, its place in the community is the same, make sure you stop in and play your part in keeping this vital pulse beating for many years to come.
